We drive up to the Teide National Park. At about 2300 meters, we hike and explore the local geology. Spectacular prehistoric natural structures shaped by the volcanic energy of the island line our hike. The vegetation of this area is just as exceptional. Depending on the season we encounter the famous Tajinast flowers.
In the early afternoon we drive down to La Orotava, with its alleyways, squares and mansions - witness to the prosperity of past centuries. We walk to Casa de Balcones, past the Botanical Garden and the Church of Nuestra Senora de la Conception.
